As the leaves rustled in the trees and light glistened through their luscious foliage, the landscape budded with summer. Like the plants and trees, Sam, Doug, and their sweet little kiddos beamed with abundant joy and beauty, reflecting their Creator’s splendor and displaying their caring hearts. With summer so quickly approaching, we couldn’t wait to gather with our dear friends, Sam and Doug, and soak up some sunshine while capturing their precious summer family photos with our vintage truck near Erie, PA. Their little ones, Mckynlee and Toby, looked adorable and precious as they held lemons by the lemonade stand and wrapped each other in big hugs. The summer greens also complimented the family’s love for each other and nature as they hopped into our white, vintage truck and pulled each other close. They’re such beautiful and sweet people, inside and out.
God has blessed Sam, Doug, and their family with several talents and skills, which they use throughout their business, church, and everyday lives to bring Him glory and encourage others. Sam and Doug are both skilled photographers, using their talent to serve God and others in their photography business. Since they don’t often get to stand on the other side of the camera, capturing these precious moments for them was a blessing, helping them experience the joy they bring others.
Sam, Doug, and their family also constantly pour out their time and energy to serve the Lord and help others in their church. Whether they’re freezing special moments on their church’s photography team, the kids are helping at fun events, or Sam is praising God on the worship team, the family uses their skills to honor their Savior and lead others to Him. Their strong love doesn’t stop there; they build each other up, using their unique interests to make one another giggle and strengthen their love and connection.
From camping and fishing to basketball and road trips, the family makes it a point to be there for one another. Since they love nature, they enjoy taking their camper into the woods to make special memories while soaking up the bright sunshine. Because their family is so important to them, they’ve also visited the kids’ grandparents, turning the trip to their house into a fun adventure while growing their connection. Constantly investing in their kiddos, Sam and Doug support Mckynlee as she plays basketball and volleyball and Toby as he seeks to strengthen his exploration and climbing skills. Their love for one another and countless others has touched so many because they’ve planted their lives in God’s love and trusted in Him, using the strength and blessings He has given them to strengthen and bless others.
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong” (Ephesians 3:16-17, NLT).
